A multi-party system is a system of multiple political parties and they can control government offices and a two-party system is a system of two major political parties that dominate politics within a government. A multi-party system is more responsive to change or shift in public opinion whereas the two-party system is not that flexible and they stick to opinions set on every issue. The voters have a limited choice when there is a two-party system as it limits the number of ideas on different issues. A voter might support one party for its view on one issue and might like the view of the other party on another issue. But in a multi-party system citizens can have better choices and vote for the party which best fits their ideologies and beliefs.
